A stunning project within La Gran Reserva, the ultimate private enclave in the most exclusive surrounding in Sotogrande. The area offers its residents breathtaking views of the coast and beyond.

The philosophy of the project is to create a new way of experiencing everyday life, with sustainability and comfort as priorities. Not forgetting the necessary attention required to create a unique object, an architectural form filled with elegance and impressive spaces.

Aqua rolls down the plot of land and its topography, in a parallel line to the sea, trying to mirror the contour of the water as its main focal point. In this project, it is the organizing element around which living spaces are positioned, allowing water to penetrate the interior spaces, and to blend into them, generating a microclimate that cools the house in summer while the courtyards act as green lungs and chimneys for cross ventilation.
These water streams also act as mirrors that reflect light on the walls and ceilings, elevating these spaces to another dimension.

By integrating water, nature and landscape into the architecture, the project accomplishes perfect harmony.

Several courtyards have been designed as climatic spaces, used to control shadows, temperature and natural air ventilation, but also as spaces of use and joy. Bioclimatic spaces improve the quality of life. Also is a ventilation system with heat recovery, which is the optimal solution for energy efficiency and the provision of excellent air quality all year round. Passive houses do not use polluting energy methods, such as burning fuel, to produce and create a comfortable room temperature.
Thus, this type of construction discards the usual cooling/heating mechanisms and yet manages to maintain an indoor temperature of about 21°C every day.
To achieve this, a combination of aerothermal and photovoltaic capture technologies have been used. Two of the cleanest and most efficient techniques for generating electricity and heating and cooling a home. Not only do we contribute to the environment, but we also reduce the energy costs of our project. The aim is to achieve total efficiency and energy self-sufficiency of the house for most of the year.
